Corrections Policy

If we get something wrong, here is what happens

Our commitment

Medical cannabis information affects real decisions by real patients. An error on a state page — a wrong fee, an outdated qualifying condition, a misattributed agency — is not a typo. It is misinformation that someone may act on.

We treat every factual error as urgent.

How to report an error

If you find information on this site that is incorrect, outdated, or misleading, contact us:

Please include: the page URL, the specific claim you believe is wrong, and if possible, a link to the official source showing the correct information.

What happens next

  1. Immediate review. The reported claim is checked against the official state source.
  2. If confirmed wrong: the incorrect information is replaced with a pending notice immediately, then updated with the verified fact as soon as the correct information is confirmed.
  3. If ambiguous: the claim is replaced with a pending notice until it can be re-verified. We do not leave disputed information published while investigating.
  4. Transparency: material corrections are noted on the affected page with the date of the correction.

What we will never do

  • Silently change incorrect information without noting the correction
  • Leave disputed medical or legal claims published while investigating
  • Dismiss a report because the error is small — a wrong dollar amount or date is still wrong
  • Attribute AI-generated content as human-reviewed when it has not been reviewed
